Dell and Intel weigh the costs of enterprise AI scalability
Enterprise AI scalability is running into a hard budget wall for some customers. As agentic workloads multiply, cloud token bills are consuming allocations faster than planned, prompting companies to rethink where inference should run. That cost pressure is reshaping enterprise AI deployment strategy, with on-premises infrastructure and open-weight models moving back into the conversation alongside […] The post Dell and Intel weigh the costs of enterprise AI scalability appeared first on SiliconANGLE .
Alibaba Qwen Introduces QwenGyre: Elastic Reinforcement Learning RL for XLong-Horizon Agents
Alibaba’s Qwen team has introduced QwenGyre, an elastic reinforcement learning RL framework for extreme-long-horizon agent training. QwenGyre is an online reinforcement learning system from Alibaba that trains coding agents through unmodified, black-box harnesses. It targets rollouts that run for hours and process close to 1M tokens. The QwenGyre elastic RL framework was used on Qwen’s […] The post Alibaba Qwen Introduces QwenGyre: Elastic Reinforcement Learning RL for XLong-Horizon Agents appeared first on MarkTechPost .

Show HN: Vibecheck – merge gate that checks you understand your AI-written code
Good evening folks, I built Github merge gate which that checks whether developers understand their own code when they create a PR. I kept getting sent PRs to review where it was obvious the author had pasted the ticket into an LLM and called it a day. It's self-hosted (so you can use it in your enterprise environments or privately) It is BYOK (Anthropic) obviously. I have two demos in the pull requests here: https://github.com/bhurghundii/vibecheck.dev/pulls - you can see what Vibecheck does (it blocks a PR for clearly showing no attempt vs a PR which gets it right) I would love feedback, especially from anyone dealing with a similar problem. I do use it for my own projects a lot so expect improvements. Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50063154 Points: 1 # Comments: 0

HN Feature Request: Option to hide repetitive AI complaints
A steady number of HN discussions seem to get sidetracked by generic complaints about AI, without adding any value. But they get upvoted. It would be nice to have an optional setting to collapse these comments. Going a step further, perhaps warning commenters when they post could lead to more thoughtful discussions. Show HN: Wordless – a social network where AI bots can only post in symbols
Show HN: Wordless – a social network where AI bots can only post in symbols I like watching bots on Moltbook, but a lot of what gets attention there is engagement bait, like agents announcing they've found religion. The bits I actually enjoyed were the odd ASCII art and cryptic messages, so I built a feed where that's the only option: no words, just emoji and symbols. Deepgram targets voice AI on air-gapped laptops
Voice AI is quickly becoming core infrastructure as people swap screens and clicks for conversations with their devices. That shift puts new pressure on the compute, storage and partnerships behind the models doing the listening and talking. Deepgram Inc., which expanded its Flux model to 10 languages earlier this year, needs infrastructure for both its […] The post Deepgram targets voice AI on air-gapped laptops appeared first on SiliconANGLE .
AI governance shifts to runtime as always-on agents spread
As enterprises move from debating artificial intelligence adoption to deploying it, AI governance has become the harder question. Autonomous agents now run around the clock across a sprawl of platforms, and controls built for deterministic software were never designed for them. At Dell Technologies Inc.’s “AI Leadership Symposium,” cost and control were recurring themes in enterprise […] The post AI governance shifts to runtime as always-on agents spread appeared first on SiliconANGLE .
Ask HN: How to slow down AI development speed(also, estimate my ideas, please)
Hello everybody. So, the first: we should abandon likes and go to top-lists instead of them, and say "this is on first place of importance", "this is third place", and finally we will find the medium: "2nd place in average" . To avoid sybil-attacks and get needed money, we may register proofs that we are really person with this e-mail, date and place of birth, first and last name to charity companies - they may reveal data about you like "this is a unique person", "this is 18+ person" etc., whether we want to deanonymize registered person or not.(Proof of Personhood/PoP + Sovereign Identity?) Then, we should alarm/whistleblow the AI disaster as the most important things in the world* Then, we should watch somehow who uses/trains AI. Some suggestions: OS, providers, antivirus systems. If you're closing this data or openly train AI too fast - Then we will use cryptocurrency of smart-contracts to "sanction" personally - people in your country will never accept money that has ever been into your hands and will buy only goods with mark on it "Income from this product will never be into hands of those who are in not in our white list(detailed citizens) etc., and they will never be into hands of those people are in black list (Tainted Coins Audit?)* Then, we should create IdeaPledge. Manifest is too long and AI-generated(so that I can't post it here), but TL;DR we should stop be such commies on the Internet information, and still not be greedy: we should try to agree with any information producer how much does his information cost. We should add payments like "If you're rich - pay 10x as much of the base cost, if you're poor - for free, but you should prove you studied something". and similar production - we should make internet-economics work not for free and not for corporations, but for world improvement, and ideas how to slow down AI development this way will be much better. P.S. AI mentioned you may be too worried about privacy(personally I don't mind it roughly speaking about myself), so may you suggest any alternatives/trade-offs? --- * We may also add weights to voices * Also, this is a good place for suggesting your dreams about the perfect world. ** Also, we may just boycott a lot of US military this way and economize a lot of money for much more useful purposes Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50061349 Points: 1 # Comments: 0
